  in the Data Science field. He started out with a BSc in Mathematics and S
 tatistics from Bath University\, which led to work as a consultant in the 
 pharmaceutical sector. In 2002 he co-founded Mango\, which allowed him to 
 make his vision of proactive\, data driven business culture a reality. In 
 his day-to-day role\, Richard spends much of his time advising clients fro
 m a variety of industries on data-driven strategies\, while keeping up-to-
 date with the cutting edge commercial applications of data science. \nRich
 ard is incredibly passionate about supporting the R and Data Science commu
 nities. He co-authored the book &ldquo\;R in 24 Hours&rdquo\;\, was the fi
 rst president of the R Consortium\, sits on the RSS Data Science Section C
