Board of Directors

PSI's many activities are generally planned, organised and implemented by its various committees, which operate under the direction of the PSI Board of Directors. Supported by the Executive Office, the Board of Directors currently comprises 12 elected members with at least one representative from each PSI committee. Board of Directors meetings are held 6-8 times each year. The activities of the individual committees are described in other pages on this site, and cover the following broad areas:

  • Scientific/Conference
  • Training (including Introduction to Industry)
  • Public Affairs (including Careers)
  • Regulatory & Industry/European Links (EFSPI)
  • Statistical Computing
  • Publications (including SPIN and the Journal)
  • Finance and contracts
  • Membership Administration, and
  • PSI Website

PSI aims to maintain a balance within the membership of the Board of Directors, in terms of areas of work activity, job role and type of company worked for, reflecting the diversity of the overall membership of PSI as far as possible.

In 2007 the Board put together a 3 year business plan. The full version of the business plan can be found here, a working version which is regularly by the Board with progress towards objectives is available to PSI members, please log in and visit the BoD page for more details.
